MIU MIU LAUNCHES A SWEET REBELLION FRAGRANCE ‘MIUTINE’

Miu Miu has never played by the rules, and its newest fragrance, Miutine, captures exactly that. Fronted by Golden Globe–winning actor Emma Corrin, the campaign introduces the scent through a figure already known for reinvention, wit, and boldness. ”The scent represents all the aspects that I treasure and respect the most in myself and others; rebellion, expression, originality. It’s one for the free spirits,” Corrin says. It’s an attitude that feels quintessentially Miu Miu.

The name itself riffs on the word “mutine” (French for “rebel”) and sets the tone for a fragrance built around a playful twist. Conceived by master perfumer Dominique Ropion, Miutine begins with the familiar codes of a classic chypre: citrus brightness, floral lift, and a grounding patchouli base. But those expectations are quickly unsettled by a burst of Mara des Bois strawberry, a rare French variety more often found in patisserie than perfumery, alongside brown sugar and bourbon vanilla. The result is luminous, addictive and intimate, creating a scent worn for oneself rather than for anyone else.

True to form, the bottle channels Miu Miu’s codes into glass. Matelassé quilting recalls the house’s leather, a black-and-white collar brings out the subtle polish, and the glossy sequin-inspired cap adds a wink of playfulness. Its chestnut tone of the bottle nods to the timeless shades of Miu Miu accessories, giving the flacon both elegance and edge.

Directed by Hailey Benton Gates, the campaign frames Miutine as a definition in motion. Emma Corrin drifts through shifting portraits of self-invention, embodying the spirit of a fragrance that thrives on mischief and transformation.

Miu Miu’s Miutine will be available in stores from 1st September 2025.
