POLIFONIC FESTIVAL 2026 IS THIS WEEKEND: HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT

As this weekend approaches, Polifonic Festival’s 2026 edition is suddenly upon us, starting from the 22nd until the 26th of July. Truly the perfect way to spend summer: amongst Italy’s picturesque Valle d’Itria, surrounded by olive trees and booming dance music. But this year feels particularly special. With a new stage and more artists, the festival acts as an ever-expanding ode to club culture, promising good energy spread across the entire spectrum of electronic music – whether that be live or behind DJ decks.

A LINEUP SPANNING THE BEST OF CONTEMPORARY CLUB CULTURE

With a programme featuring over 70 artists, this edition has brought together some of electronic music's most exciting emerging talents among established names and pioneers of their respective industry. One of the most anticipated performances is Carl Craig b2b Moodymann, allowing us to dip into the special melting pot of the Detroit music scene, blending techno, house, soul, and jazz into one unmissable set. Another major performance comes from London-based producer and DJ, DJRum, who performed yesterday. Through his unique layering of techno, jungle, ambient, breakbeat, jazz and classical sounds, he’s crafted his own artistic voice that tells a narrative rather than just being a catchy beat. Other standouts include electroclash icon Miss Kittin (pictured above), Peach, Prosumer, Ben UFO, Dutch favourite Job Jobse, among countless others – each a star in the intricate constellation that is Polifonic.
ECHOES STAGE MAKES ITS DEBUT

A new stage? It’s every festival-goer’s dream. Bringing the stage options up to five, the Echoes Stage was created in collaboration with Rinse FM France, one of electronic music's most influential broadcasters. Filling the role of an intermediary experience, it’s not as expansive and exciting as its peers. Acting as a more intimate and meditative environment, this stage will specialise in downtempo, dub, ambient, and psychedelic sounds, giving you the perfect escape in between uptempo crowds and chaos. This includes names like Basic Chanel, Giammarco Orsini, Hewan Aman, Joiah, Kenia, Le Motel, NAP, Souzo, Vardae, and Z.I.P.P.O
THE THEME IS: SENSORY BLOOM

Designed to tickle each and every sense, this theme invites the audience on an all-encompassing journey for the senses, through a fruitful meeting of sound, light, architecture, and landscape. Contrasting last year’s Rays of Light theme, this year turns the festival grounds into a sensory playground, piecing together people, music and environment into an intricate, mishapen puzzle, which extends itself to the artistic programme.
ARTISTIC EXHIBITIONS

Continously expanding the boundaries of what a music festival could be, this year is no different with the re-introduction of the annual artistic programme. This year’s spotlight lands on The Lightning Tower, a site-specific installation by Pepemaniak (Federico Ceruso). In the shape of a totem, the titular lightning strike looms at its peak, representing a mix of transformation, illumination, and human connection. Previously exhibited at Burning Man, the installation perfectly embodies the spirit of Sensory Bloom.
LIVE PERFORMANCES

Besides a jam-packed host of DJs, Polifonic is also welcoming a cast of live performers – because variety is the crux of any good festival. Among the live highlights is Australian singer-songwriter Chet Faker, whose indie-style vocals stand out amongst the humdrum of electronica. Additionally, Voices From The Lake (Donato Dozzy & Neel) will be opening the Masseria Capece programme on Thursday with an immersive performance, borne from a longstanding friendship, though Donato will also perform a solo set the following day, so there’s no excuse to miss his experimental nodular synths in action. Some other standouts include A Guy Called Gerald (Live), Shackleton (Live), Hiver presents Night Heron, Karnak On Acid, Guy Contact, and several exclusive back-to-back performances created specifically for the festival.

Spread across three carefully selected locations—Cala Maka, Masseria Capece, and Le Palme Beach Club—Polifonic’s 2026 edition invites its community to experience Valle d’Itria in all its glory. Each venue becomes its own world, blending architecture, landscape, and sound into a multisensory journey that captures the unique spirit of summer underneath the Puglian sky.
THE NSS EDICOLA FEAT. NUMÉRO NETHERLANDS!

An ode to Italian culture and the ever-present edicola, NSS is bringing a little piece of Italy’s city-centre charm back into the spotlight with its edicola project at Polifonic. Taking over the festival grounds with their own newsstand, NSS transforms a familiar fixture into a stylish pit stop, adorned with a curated selection of magazines to indulge your appetite for fashion – including our very own Issue 14: LOVE.
