RAYE RETURNS TO MONTREUX WITH AUDEMARS PIGUET FOR A BESPOKE PERFORMANCE
words by MAREK BARTEK
British singer-songwriter RAYE is continuing her partnership with Audemars Piguet for a second year, this time at the 60th edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival with a one-night-only performance created in collaboration with the Swiss watchmaker. Opening the anniversary edition of the festival on 3 July, the concert marks the latest chapter in the brand’s APxMusic programme, an initiative dedicated to supporting artists through creative collaboration rather than traditional sponsorship.

“AP shares a common belief in timeless expression rather than chasing what’s loud or on-trend right now. As an artist, I am not afraid to stay true to who I am and to set my own agenda when it comes to my music.”
Titled This Stage May Contain Moments In Time, the performance was developed alongside RAYE to reflect her artistic journey and personal interpretation of time. Taking place at the festival’s renowned Stravinski Auditorium, the show blended music, storytelling and visual elements while paying tribute to six decades of Montreux’s musical legacy. The concert also featured contributions from a wider community of musicians, celebrating collaboration as a driving force behind creativity.
The partnership builds on a relationship that began with last year’s 150th anniversary celebrations, during which RAYE collaborated with long-time Audemars Piguet partner Mark Ronson on the original track Suzanne. For the singer, whose career has become synonymous with artistic independence after leaving her record label and achieving record-breaking success at the 2024 BRIT Awards, the collaboration reflects a shared philosophy of staying true to one’s vision.
Since becoming Global Partner of the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2019, Audemars Piguet has continued to strengthen its ties with the music industry through APxMusic, using the platform to create meaningful collaborations that bring together creativity and cultural exchange beyond the world of watchmaking.
