ALL THE WAY IN L.A CASABLANCA RESORT 26 AWAITS
words by VERONICA TLAPANCO SZABÓ
Los Angeles has been doing the rounds lately, Erewhon, Wi Spa t-shirts, Melrose Trading Post, the city is everywhere and Casablanca feels it too (I’m guilty of binging I love LA). The brand has just opened its first U.S. store on Santa Monica Boulevard, and with Resort 2026, it penned its own love letter to the city. Shot at the iconic Sheats-Goldstein Residence, the John Lautner architectural marvel tucked into the Hollywood Hills. The day of the shoot was marked by rare LA rain, a detail that moulded the mood, as photographer Corentin Leroux leans into the grey skies to wrap the images in a haze that feels worlds away from the city’s usual sun-soaked bravado.
At the center of it all is Iris Law, joined by Sara Grace Wallerstedt, Duncan Yair, and Camp Schill. As a modern Casablanca muse, Law embodies that LA girl. She’s sprawled across a sofa and idling in the kitchen with a casual snack—a trademark of hers. I still think very fondly of her intricately composed bowls and smoothies, all framed by sweeping views of the Beverly Hills valley.
As for the clothing, pastel tones drift alongside deeper shades of oxblood and royal navy. Monogram trims and bold side stripes bring a sporty edge to tailoring, coordinating sets, and preppy silhouettes, while ombré gradients and silk shirts adorned with orchid motifs introduce a psychedelic note. Casablanca’s knitwear also gets a tactile refresh with textured waffle knits and mohair blends, while denim arrives in pink, psychedelic green, and a reverse-colour black monogram. Finally footwear grounds the collection in familiar territory, with the signature Del Mar and Stade sneakers rounding things off just right.
