BEHIND THE SCENES OF PALOMA WOOL SHOW BY FAUVE BOUWMAN

Long a favourite of cool girls everywhere, Barcelona’s Paloma Wool has well-and-truly arrived on the world stage. Paloma Lanna’s SS26 was awash with the brand’s beloved signatures: sheer layering, simple yet chic leather accessories, and classic staples in neutral tones. There were also welcome surprises, from knits with side buttons that allowed for new methods of deconstructed wear to pops of neon colour: cyan, lime green, and lilac. Sequins also made an appearance on the runway, but in classic Paloma Wool style, they were never gaudy or overstated. There were hints of playfulness woven throughout the showing, from the little girl who turned the set’s lights on to start the show to the miniature pockets, cropped leggings, and knee-high socks on the runway. At once meticulously styled and versatile, this collection reasserted the brand’s relaxed ethos and commitment to beautiful, uncomplicated dressing.
