CARTIER UNVEILS ITS ‘EN ÉQUILIBRE’ HIGH JEWELLERY CHAPTER IN PARIS

At the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Cartier presented the third chapter of its High Jewellery collection En Équilibre, staging an evening built around balance — in design, setting, and experience. The historic institution, known for its deep ties to French decorative arts and craftsmanship, served as a backdrop for a collection focused on purity of line, the strength of volumes and chromatic precision.

Guests including Gemma Chan, Tara Emad, and Virginie Efira arrived through the museum’s main entrance before being guided to the Pavillon Marsan, where the presentation unfolded as a sequence of living tableaux. Rather than a traditional runway, models appeared within the interiors, allowing the jewellery to be viewed in stillness and close detail — reinforcing the collection’s emphasis on proportion and visual equilibrium.
A cocktail reception took place in the Art Nouveau–lined Salon 1900, followed by dinner in the Salon des Boiseries, surrounded by 17th- and 18th-century panels. Michelin-starred chef Shinichi Sato developed a menu translating the collection’s themes into cuisine, working with contrast, colour, and structured composition.
The evening closed with a live performance by composer Koki Nakano and choreographer Amala Dianor, adding a final movement-based interpretation of balance and tension. Guests were then invited to walk through the museum’s Nef, ending the night within one of Paris’s most architecturally layered spaces — a truly fitting frame for a collection defined by harmony and control.
