DIOR UNVEILS ITS FIRST LADY DIOR CAMPAIGN UNDER JONATHAN ANDERSON’S DIRECTION

Jonathan Anderson’s Dior era is officially upon us. Prior to his debut womenswear show, which will take place in Paris on 1 October at 2:30pm (yes, we are already counting down), we’ve gotten another taste of Dior by Jonathan Anderson, this time with a fresh take on the House’s most famous accessory. The first Lady Dior campaign under his direction was shot by David Sims at the Pavillon de Musique de la Comtesse du Barry, a location that matchesAnderson’s 18th-century French references, while keeping it effortless and modern.

A trio or newly appointed ambassadors — Mia Goth, Greta Lee and Mikey Madison — are captured in natural light and without over-styling. There’s a looseness to the way they wear the pieces, which makes the bag feel renewed rather than just admired. “The Lady Dior is one of the most iconic bags in history. I love that when you pair it with someone like Mia, Greta or Mikey, it suddenly becomes something new,” Anderson explained.
But beyond the Lady Dior, the campaign also doubles as yet another small preview of his womenswear. Mia wears a white floral skirt, and Greta appears in a new version of the Bar jacket and skirt styled with a polo shirt. It’s a small tease, but enough to keep us on our toes.
