MARCELLA RANERI STUNS IN CUSTOM MISS SOHEE AT THE BRITISH MUSEUM’S PINK BALL

The British Museum turned pink for one unforgettable night. On October 18th, the institution hosted its first-ever Pink Ball — a new cultural landmark closing Frieze London and the BFI Film Festival. Chaired by Isha Ambani alongside director Dr. Nicholas Cullinan OBE and the Museum’s Trustees, the evening gathered the worlds of fashion, film, and art under one roof. With a committee including Naomi Campbell, Edward Enninful, Miuccia Prada, and Al-Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, the event celebrated London’s creative community while raising funds to expand the Museum’s global reach.

Among the night’s guests was dancer, choreographer, model, and podcast host, Marcella Raneri, who arrived in a custom Miss Sohee creation. The look reimagined the couturier’s SS24 finale cape in baby pink, covered in hand-crystallised peonies and cascading 3D petals. Underneath, a silk satin slip draped softly across the bust, embroidered with miniature blossoms. It was Miss Sohee’s couture just as we know it — romantic, sharp, delicate and breathtaking.

“Wearing this piece to the Pink Ball felt like stepping into a dream, one that honoured my own journey of movement, creativity, and giving back. I was thrilled to celebrate with a look that so beautifully captured the essence of empowerment and grace,” said Marcella. For Miss Sohee, whose work bridges Korean heritage and old-world opulence, the piece embodied everything the evening stood for: artistry, culture, and a touch of fantasy.
