MARINE SERRE’S NEW COLLECTION: THE SOURCE

words by ANOUK WOUDT

Femininity and sustainability stay central to MARINE SERRE’s vision with the release of their Spring/Summer 26 collection. Titled ‘THE SOURCE’, the pieces embrace intention, incorporating regenerated and upcycled materials stitched together to emit the functional elegance of a modern woman. Ester Expósito, our former cover star, captures this essence beautifully. Calm, yet authoritative, her confident femininity is on full display, encapsulating exactly what it means to be a MARINE SERRE woman.

Through Sarah Piantadosi’s lens, the campaign’s story is told through three distinct chapters following Ester’s evolution throughout her own femininity. Alongside model Momo Ndiaye’s masculine presence, the narrative is balanced through their complimentary expressions, allowing for a true exploration of what womanhood represents.

The first chapter unfolds in a time before self-surveillance and the feminine societal need for performance. With a dimly-lit atmosphere, we are invited into an intimate space where all guards can be let down. Ester is shown in a natural state, moving with ease, as if the camera had simply entered during a moment already unravelled. Pictured first in the red jersey dress, the garment accentuates her feminine curves, serving as a second skin that doesn’t aim to impose. Every piece that follows share this logic, emphasizing a natural silhouette that serves as an extension of one’s self. The signature lunar emblem weaves its way in naturally, in a graceful nod to the House codes. With future chapters soon to be revealed, we can expect a deeper exploration into the subtlety and ferocity of femininity, as it moves through different phases.
