MILAN AS THE MUSE: BOTTEGA VENETA WINTER 26’ CAMPAIGN

words by DEBORAH DRENOFCI

Bottega Veneta presents the Winter 2026 campaign, captured by Juergen Teller — an artistic project reflecting creative director Louise Trotter's vision for the house and the inspiration drawn from the city of Milan itself.

Moving from Villa Terenzio to Fondazione Pagani, different sides of the city — intimate interiors dominated by coloured tiles, nature-inspired architecture, open-air sculpture, and untamed landscapes — act as a canvas to the house's craft and creativity.

Milan holds an elegant paradox: brutalism and sensuality move through the same spaces, hardness and softness trading places depending on where you stand. A concrete sculpture frames a figure wrapped in cobalt faux fur while a weathered staircase gives way to an oversized coat. It's a city that lets both extremes exist in full style, each sharpening the other.

The collection carries that same energy. Soft, oversized outerwear sits next to sharp tailoring; bold colour breaks through a mostly neutral palette. It's a collection built on contrast — quiet and loud, structured and relaxed, always with an easy confidence.
