OFF-WHITE™ OPENS THE DOORS TO THE IMAGINARY PALACE
words by DEBORAH DRENOFCI
Off-White™ has always championed design that embraces creativity, collaboration and community. On 23 September in Milan, the brand introduced "Off-White™ 10x10: Icons Reimagined," inviting 10 global creatives to reimagine 10 pieces from its archive. The goal was not to copy the past but to continue it.

The idea reaches beyond individual skill or point of view. It is grounded in the openness of creativity, where perspectives meet and shape one another. That exchange lets a legacy evolve without losing its roots.
The results live in IMAGINARY PALACE, a space in Milan split into 10 rooms. Each one holds a finished object alongside everything that led to it: references, materials, detours. Visitors could also join talks and hands-on workshops, stepping inside the process instead of admiring it from a distance.
Familiar house codes became starting points. Renell Medrano turned eyewear into a study of the gaze, of watching and being watched. Scott Mescudi sent the Out Of Office sneaker back to sport, built to be worn hard. Ava Nirui made the T-shirt a meeting place for shared identity. Guillermo Andrade read denim as a record of memory and craft. A$AP Nast rebuilt the clock around hours as they are felt, not counted. Bafic, meanwhile, explored the grey area between black and white through lived experience, asking what we would say to our younger selves.
Milan is the final stop of a journey that began in New York in May and passed through a two-day residency in Paris in June. It is also the label's home, the natural place for every thread to meet.
Creativity is better when shared. Off-White™ proved it here, and reminded us that the route matters more than the destination.
