PIET X OAKLEY’S NEW DROP IS AN ODE TO THE PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE

words by PHOEBE GIBSON-DOUGALL

Get ready to cover your eyes—literally—because Piet x Oakley are back with a new drop just in time for the holiday season. Piet—the Brazilian brand led by Pedro Andrade—and Oakley—a global reference in streetwear— have reunited with a killer collaboration that revives Oakley’s historical archives through Piet’s experimental and authentic lens.

Since their first collection, launched in 2022, the two brands have built a narrative guided by their shared creative vision; one that transcends time. The new collection is a seamless continuation of this story, one that celebrates the fusion of Oakley’s heritage and innovation through Piet’s aesthetic vision. It both honours the journey so far while looking forward to what’s ahead, with the intersection between nostalgia and futurism serving as the collection’s core concept.

To balance between heritage and modern innovation, Piet dove into Oakley’s archives to reinterpret iconic pieces through its own design language, resulting in a collection inspired by post-apocalyptic aesthetics. Think fabrics that evoke the passage of time and wear but reimagined with contemporary cuts and constructions.

The collection includes eyewear, footwear, jackets, t-shirts, and accessories celebrating both brands’ legacies; futuristic Plantaris sunglasses, sneakers featuring the iconic Nail sole, and leather jackets inspired by early 2000s pieces. Perhaps most exciting of all is the Dog Tag—available to the public for the first time after years as an Oakley staff exclusive.

You can shop the collection here, and in-store at Piet stores and select retailers.
