TIFFANY & CO. MEETS FRANKENSTEIN ON NYC'S FIFTH AVENUE
Keep your eyes on Tiffany’s windows, though needless to say, it’s hard to look away anytime you pass the Fifth Avenue boutique. This time, celebrating Guillermo del Toro’s long-awaited Frankenstein, they’ve created a window installation inspired by the gothic and eerie world of Mary Shelley.
At the beginning of next month, everyone will no doubt be set in front of their screens, eyes locked on Netflix’s new Frankenstein, perhaps the most anticipated film of the year. The movie is set to feature a star-studded cast: Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Oscar Isaac, and Christoph Waltz among many others.
We’re all ready for the chills we love so much in the fall, and it seems not only us but brands like Tiffany are too. The five windows each feature their own distinctive lighting, aesthetics, and even music by none other than Academy Award-winner Alexandre Desplat. The displays draw inspiration from the mysterious laboratory that will set the stage for many of the troubling events and fateful endings of the story that defined gothic literature.
But if you’re in London, don’t worry, Tiffany is also planning something special there: an exhibition, Frankenstein: Crafting A Tale Eternal, featuring all things Frankenstein, from old documents and books through jewelry and costumes.
