VAN CLEEF & ARPELS PRESENTS PALMYRE NOVELTIES 2026

Van Cleef & Arpels presents new high jewellery creations from the Palmyre collection, paying tribute to the beauty of diamonds since its creation in 1978. The pieces offer fluidity, following the body’s movements with plays of light. This year, the Maison unveils new colourful creations, crafted in one to four rows, with elegance and refinement taking central stage.

The collection presents a delicate filigreed mesh of precious of gemstones, maintained thanks to prong setting, are threaded with light, while the entirely openworked gold structure flows. On the Palmyre creations in sapphire, diamonds are paired with blue or pink gemstones scattered freely across necklaces and bracelets. For this collection, Van Cleef & Arpels’ expert gemologists have carefully assembled sets of matched sapphires in three tones, from the lightest to the deepest.

When Van Cleef & Arpels was founded in 1906, white jewelry predominated: diamond and pearls adorned platinum mounts of unprecedented lightness, formed into bows, latticework and flower garlands. The Belle Époque aesthetic gave way, in the 1920s, to the white jewelry of Art Deco, more abstract in spirit. So called “band” bracelets in diamonds, often worn stacked along the wrist, grew increasingly popular. Exceptionally supple, they showcased the jewelry savoir-faire of the time. Less common between the 1930s and 1950s, white jewelry returned to prominence during the golden age of cinema, sparkling on black-and-white screens and highly successful among American and European elites. From diamond rivières at the décolleté to scintillating clips and bracelets, this evening jewelry combined the brilliance of diamonds with the glow of platinum or white gold in compositions both abstract and figurative.
