IN CONVERSATION WITH PAIGE MOBLEY
interview by JANA LETONJA
Host, actress, TV Personality and producer Paige Mobley is best known as the host of the Emmy-award winning Netflix series ‘Instant Dream Home’. Currently, she is starring in James Gunn's highly anticipated film ‘Superman’, which premiered on 11th July. Most recently, Paige can be also seen in ‘Rescue: HI SURF’ on FOX and also hosts her titular shows ‘The Finishing Touch with Paige Mobley’ and ‘Glamorous Getaways’.
We can currently watch you in James Gunn’s ‘Superman’. What was it like stepping into that universe, especially playing Fleurette, Lex Luthor’s ex?
It was such a surreal and exciting experience. Stepping into the ‘Superman’ universe feels a little like walking into cinematic history, but with Fleurette, I also got to bring something brand-new to the table.
Your role is original to this installment of the franchise. What impact did that have on how you approached the role, and how exciting was that for you?
Getting to originate a character in a franchise like ‘Superman’ is exciting, and a little freeing, too. It was a chance to bring something totally new to a world that so many people already know and love, which made the whole experience feel both fresh and impactful at the same time.
‘Instant Dream Home’ has such a passionate fanbase, and it also earned a Daytime Emmy. What makes the show special to you?
The heart behind the show is really what makes it special. We get to surprise deserving families with a completely transformed home, and all in one day. There's so much joy, chaos, and teamwork involved, and every episode reminds me how powerful design/build can be when there's heart at the core.
You’re not just the host, you’ve got real remodeling skills. What are some of the most memorable transformations you’ve been part of?
One of the most memorable transformations I’ve been part of has to be my first home. I became a homeowner a few years ago, and getting to renovate a space that was entirely mine felt incredibly special. I’ve done renovation work with my family, for others, and on TV, but this was the first time I got to design and build something for myself. That personal connection made the entire process so much more meaningful.
Having grown up in a home renovation family and living in 20 homes by high school, do you have a favorite design style or trend you love right now?
I always come back to warm minimalism - clean lines, lots of natural textures, but still cozy. I also love mixing vintage with modern. Right now, I’m working on a cottage that merges both vintage pieces with Scandinavian design.
You’ve had such a multifaceted career, starting with ‘America’s Next Top Model’. How did those experiences shape your on-camera confidence?
‘ANTM’ pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me how to stay calm and centered, even when the cameras were rolling and the stakes were high. That confidence and improv carried over into hosting and acting. You learn quickly how to own your space, no matter what format you're in.
You’re starring in ‘Love Virtually’ alongside Cheri Oteri and Stephen Tobolowsky. Can you tell us a bit about your character, Kimberly
Kimberly is a quirky, big-hearted hopeless romantic who just wants to have a happy ending. I had a blast playing her and working with the cast and crew. Getting to share the screen with comedy legends like Cheri and Stephen was a total dream.
With Longmeadow Productions, you’re stepping behind the camera too. What kind of stories or projects are you most excited to produce?
I’m really passionate about character-driven, nostalgic stories. Whether it’s scripted, documentary-style, or even short-form series, I’m excited to keep building stories that feel intimate but have wide resonance.
You’re also a youth theater arts educator. Why is that work important to you?
Theater changed my life. It gave me confidence, community, and a creative outlet when I really needed one. I love helping young people tap into their voice and imagination. Especially now, it feels more important than ever to give kids the tools to express themselves, to play, and to feel seen. Watching my students take the stage and light up? There’s nothing better.
When you’re not filming, how do you unwind? Any favorite hobbies you enjoy the most?
Cooking and baking are big for me. I love being creative in the kitchen. I also love musicals, watching and singing them, much to my husband’s amusement, and thrifting with my mom.
