BALENCIAGA'S SPRING 26 COLLECTION AND BALENCIAGA MUSIC'S BRITNEY SPEARS SERIES
Balenciaga's new collection is unmistakably theirs, with their well-known bold and unexpectable design. At the same time, the collection is urban, cosmopolitan, and wearable. Not only that, Balenciaga created a limited-edition line of ready-to-wear and accessories, all inspired by the icon herself, Britney Spears.
The Britney series was unveiled as part of Balenciaga by Demna “Exactitudes”, the Spring 2026 lookbook, and marks Britney Spears’ first collaboration with the brand. According to Britney herself, “I have always loved fashion and was so honoured and excited Balenciaga and Demna chose to collaborate with me on Demna’s last collection with the House. I hope my fans love it as much as I do! These are some of my favourite images from such an amazing time in my career and life, and I’m so excited to share them with everyone.”
Her collection includes T-shirts, zip-up hoodies, and silk twill flags featuring her autograph print and archival imagery by Rankin and Steven Klein. The pieces are treated with aged finishes reminding us of vintage album merchandise, not to mention the bejeweled, studded details, which I cannot help but adore.
The Spring collection itself merges elements from 35 past collections with new pieces and garments drawn from Demna’s personal wardrobe, creating his own bold reinterpretation of contemporary streetwear. These clothes reflect Demna's artistic vision, the approach to aesthetics, materials, and volumes, undoubtedly this is a deeply personal collection. The goal was to capture the essence of Balenciaga: the archetypes, the people, the looks and the ethos that define the brand — and to celebrate these. Oops, Balenciaga did it again!
