BULGARI OPENS THE WORLD'S LARGEST JEWELLERY STUDIO

words by NATALIE GAL

Bvlgari opens Manifattura Bvlgari, their brand-new jewellery studio, spanning 33,000 m² with a cutting-edge design, giving a home to the most renowned craftsmen in the world.

Since 1884 Bvlgari has been the epitome of excellence, started by Sotirios Voulgaris, a silversmith, working in the villages of Epirus. Since then Bvlgari has come a long way, becoming one of the most historically influential brands in history, famous for not only their watches, and fragrances but also their jewellery.

For the house a new chapter arrived with the opening of the world largest jewelry studio in Valenza. The studio collects the greatest craftmen of our era, and also dedicated to educate a new generation via Scuola Bvlgari. The scuola will join the already existing Bvlgari Jewelry Academy, that opened in 2017.

This is simply the beggining, by 2029 Manifattura Bvlgari will double production capacity, and employ over 500 new artisans all while staying sustainable, using renewable energy sources. Not only that, by 2029 the  33,000 m² space will grow further by an extension of almost 19,000 m².

The entire making process is completed in the Manifattura, from the sourcing of raw materials to the final product. The location itself is significant, Valencza is chosen for a reason, it is the goldsmith centre of Italy. The small Italian village of Piemonte which was the destination of medieval gold diggers, is now home to influential goldsmith corporations and the greatest craftsmen.

Manifattura Bvlgari is an outstanding piece of architectural excellence and a true game-changer in the jewellery industry.
