CHANEL UNVEILS NEW BLEU DE CHANEL L’EXCLUSIF

There’s a new chapter in CHANEL’s BLEU story, and it comes with a glimpse behind the curtain. For the launch of BLEU DE CHANEL L’Exclusif, the most intense and uncompromising take on the House’s emblematic fragrance, CHANEL brought together perfumer-creator Olivier Polge and the brand’s ambassador Timothée Chalamet inside its Paris fragrance laboratory. The meeting, captured on film, offers a close look at the conversations and inspirations behind this creation.
Polge describes the fragrance as “a dense, sophisticated, and complex composition, like an extract,” one that pushes the boundaries of modern masculinity. Built around majestic New Caledonian sandalwood, which was sustainably sourced through CHANEL’s own integrated supply chain, the scent’s amber-woody trail is deepened by leathery and resinous notes of cistus labdanum, playing with the notion of both power and mystery.
The bottle mirrors this intensity. Its silhouette is a perfect square, the radical simplicity offset by a deep blue that shifts towards black depending on the light. Too blue to be black, too black to be blue, it captures the elegance and depth of the fragrance it holds — a design that speaks the same language as the scent itself.
This isn’t just another fragrance launch for CHANEL. The brand is refining one of its most recognisable scents to its most intense form yet, pairing exceptional craftsmanship with a modern vision.
