With two Michelin stars to its name, it’s no surprise that Da Terra delivers the very highest standards of fine dining. Located within the landmark Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green, the restaurant seamlessly blends historic Edwardian elegance with contemporary interior design, creating a setting as refined as its cuisine. Led by Chef Rafael Cagali, the menu fuses his Brazilian and Italian origins to create experimental symphonies of flavours that push the boundaries of modern gastronomy.

From the moment you step through Da Terra’s doors, you are treated to absolute luxury. The open kitchen flows seamlessly into the dining room, where elegant historic interiors are thoughtfully complemented by modern embellishments. As you settle into the comforting, yet lively ambiance, the experience begins with refined appetizers, accompanied by expertly crafted cocktails or a selection of champagnes— that’s up to you!

At the heart of the restaurant is Chef Rafael Cagali. Starting out as an Economics student, he quickly found his passion for cooking in part-time kitchen jobs used to fund his studies. Though unconventional, his path led him to a distinctly unique culinary language that sets his cuisine apart. After honing his craft in some of Europe’s most prestigious restaurants, he eventually settled back down in London—full of experience and ready to found his own restaurant. In 2019, Da Terra opened its doors, offering a gastronomic experience rooted in his Brazilian and Italian heritage.

Another cruicial part of the Da Terra’s success is Restaurant Manager, Charlie Lee. Having worked closely with Cagali since the restaurant’s inception, they have become close partners in work (and life), bringing a genuine warmth and familiarity to every guest’s experience.

This synergy is reflected beautifully in the dining itself. Carefully curated tasting menus are paired with a signature impeccable service, while optional wine pairings—selected by an expert team of sommeliers—enhance each dish, creating a truly harmonious experience.
