FAUBOURG 21: BRUSSELS’ MOST INTIMATE GRAND HOTEL
FAUBOURG 21 – The Smallest Grand Palace of Brussels and a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, offers a fresh take on luxury hospitality. Designed as a place where comfort, elegance and genuine hospitality come together, it combines the character of a historic residence with the standards of a contemporary luxury hotel. Hidden behind a discreet carriage entrance, the hotel provides a peaceful escape in the heart of Brussels, where carefully designed interiors, an intimate bar, an interior garden and distinctive dining experiences create a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
The hotel is the result of the restoration of two historic buildings on Avenue Marnix. The project, led by ORIGIN Architecture & Engineering and supervised by the Royal Commission for Monuments and Sites, carefully preserved the architectural heritage while adapting the buildings to modern hotel standards. Historic façades, decorative details and original interiors were meticulously restored, while contemporary additions, including a rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of the Royal Palace, blend naturally with the historic setting.
FAUBOURG 21 features twenty spacious rooms and suites, ranging from 25 to 60 square metres. Designed by Maison Sarah Lavoine, each room has its own identity, combining bespoke furniture, quality materials and individual colour palettes with modern comfort. Throughout the hotel, guests are welcomed with a personalised approach that reflects the atmosphere of a private home rather than a traditional hotel.
The hotel's wellness space, Ré Labo de Beauté, occupies the property's former kitchens, which have been carefully restored. Designed around a holistic approach to well-being, it offers Valmont treatments alongside a bio-sauna, thermospa, infrared cabin and experience shower. Three private treatment rooms and a discreet fitness area in the former stables complete the experience.
Food is central to the FAUBOURG 21 experience. Bistra Noisette, led by Martin Chasles, serves an ever-changing menu inspired by seasonal ingredients and designed to suit every moment of the day, from breakfast to dinner. On the top floor, CHAGA, created by chef Kevin Lejeune, offers a contemporary fine dining experience centred on simplicity, exceptional produce and cooking over a traditional robata grill. An open kitchen and panoramic views over Brussels make the experience even more memorable. Completing the hotel is Bar 21, an elegant yet relaxed setting where guests can enjoy a carefully curated selection of classic spirits and timeless cocktails in beautifully restored historic surroundings.
