GASTRONOMY, MUSIC AND LATE NIGHT-HOSPITALITY COME TOGETHER AS ROTATE OPENS IN AMSTERDAM

ROTATE’s new restaurant and late-night hospitality concept brings together gastronomy, wine, cocktails, music and nightlife in one venue, allowing guests to move naturally from dinner into drinks and a late-night atmosphere without changing locations.

The kitchen is led by Head Chef Kent Neri and Executive Chef Michael Verboom, combining classical French techniques with refined Japanese and broader Asian influences. The menu focuses on high-quality ingredients and shared dining, with dishes such as chu-toro crudo, nigiri, beef tenderloin carpaccio and wagyu negi skewers. A chef’s table also gives guests an opportunity to experience the kitchen up close.

Wine is central to ROTATE, with more than 250 labels alongside an extensive sake selection featuring producers from Japan. The drinks offering also includes cocktails, with the bar becoming an increasingly important part of the venue as the evening progresses. Music supports this transition, moving from relaxed dinner sounds towards house, disco and vocal house.

The interior, designed by Woodfever, combines warm tones, rich materials and an intimate atmosphere. A large oak bar with dark red marble and chrome details forms the centrepiece, while a prominent wine cabinet adds to the restaurant’s identity. ROTATE accommodates around 130 guests across two floors, with an additional terrace of approximately 20 seats. The concept is backed by hospitality entrepreneurs Mickey and Yoeri de Jong, Vladimir Orelio, Saïd Bardan and Laura Thonhauser.
