THE NEW ERA OF APPLE: IPHONE DUO, IPHONE 18 PRO AND PRO MAX IS HERE

It’s that time of the year! Apple has announced the new iPhone Duo featuring a foldable design, A20 Pro chip, and dual-display system, along with the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max which feature, the most advanced Pro Camera system yet, longer battery life, and more.

iPhone Duo introduces a completely new chapter for the iPhone, bringing features Apple has never had before. Most importantly, it being the first foldable iPhone ever! It has a 7.6-inch inner display that opens up to a larger screen so you can watch movies, game, work across multiple apps, and create content. When it’s folded, outer display keeps the phone compact and pocket-friendly. The matching aspect ratio between both screens makes switching between them feel natural, and the new hinge, titanium design, and Ceramic Shield 2 are built to make the foldable experience both smooth and durable. iPhone Duo also introduces Touch ID integrated into the side button, giving users a new way to securely unlock their iPhone.
The foldable design also creates new possibilities for how an iPhone can be used. The two displays can work together in different ways, making it a very exciting chapter for the iPhone to look forward to.
For the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, the new camera system will be the most advanced version Apple has made and is the first iPhone ever with an aperture control, that gives users more creative freedom and control. Six precision laser-cut blades smoothly switch between aperture settings to adjust depth of field and exposure, while four aperture settings can be selected manually in the Camera app. And for those who like to be in control, the new API also gives developers more precise control.
A new Main Camera sensor improves low-light performance and makes details sharper, especially great for group nighttime photos. There’s also a new computational imaging pipeline and updated Photographic Styles with controls for texture and grain to edit your photos to your own personal style without needing another editing app.
Video creators get a creative boost too. Users can apply cinematic effects after recording at up to 60 fps. Time-lapse finally supports 4K and Dolby Vision HDR. And an improved Audio Mix delivers clearer voices and better music isolation.
With AI-generated content becoming harder to distinguish from real photographs, Apple Reference Image offers a new tool to check image authenticity. The Main Camera can sign every pixel, creating a non-editable reference image that users can compare with the original photos. Combined with image metadata and upcoming SynthID support, the feature gives users more tools to understand whether an image has been edited or generated with AI.
Dynamic Island gets a new design that makes more room for information while allowing up to three Live Activities at the same.
The new A20 Pro chip, built on 2-nanometer technology, brings a 50% boost in memory bandwidth and up to 40% faster graphics than A19 Pro. Its 32-core Neural Engine delivers up to twice the AI processing power, while the N1 chip and C2 modem improve wireless and cellular connectivity.
A redesigned vapour chamber, inspired by Apple's M-series chips, is three times larger than the previous generation and delivers up to 40% better sustained performance, keeping iPhone 18 Pro running smoothly even during demanding tasks.
Your battery will keep on going on a night out now with iPhone 18 Pro that can reach up to 50% battery in just 15 minutes and iPhone 18 Pro Max can deliver up to seven hours of video playback after just five minutes of charging. A full charge goes up to 30 hours of use on iPhone 18 Pro Max.
iOS 27 only gets smarter with the latest Apple Intelligence features, including enhanced photo editing, photorealistic image generation, and Safari notifications when webpages change. New personalisation and parental-control tools become more flexible, while Private Cloud Compute helps keep AI processing private.
And once again, Apple has made its annual iPhone announcement feel like an event always worth waiting for as each year brings something new to discover, iPhone Duo and the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will definitely be something to look forward to.
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will be available to pre-order on September 12 and available in stores on September 18. While, the iPhone Duo pre-order starts on October 16, and will available in stores on October 23.
