DESTINY’S CHILD IS GONNA WORK IT OUT ON THE REMIX

You’ve heard that right: after over 20 years since the group’s last release, new Destiny’s Child music is set to be released in the next month. Mathew Knowles, Beyoncé’s father and former group manager, just teased the release of “a bunch of new remixes. Some you’ve never heard before from Destiny’s Child”.

The Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle trio is defrosting to appear in the charts one last time with a series of previously unheard dance and urban remixes. It’s unclear the specific era the unreleased songs are gonna be from, but the idea of a new Destiny’s Child album in the big 2026 feels very exciting. What makes this even more appealing is also the presence of unearthed featurings, specifically one with iconic rapper Missy Elliott, as teased by Knowles.

Archive releases can often feel like easy nostalgia plays, but this one arrives at a moment when pop music is fully embracing its own history, so revisiting the golden age of 2000s R&B feels surprisingly timely. Destiny's Child remains one of the defining girl groups of the era, and the chance to hear fresh material — rather than simply remastered hits — offers something genuinely exciting. Whether these remixes become chart successes or simply a gift for devoted fans, some fresh Destiny's Child this summer sounds like exactly the kind of nostalgia we'll happily indulge in.
