LEMAIRE UNVEILS ITS NEW SHORT FILM ‘NINE FRAMES’

Lemaire has unveiled NINE FRAMES, a filmic campaign for its Autumn/Winter 2025 collection that blurs the boundary between clothing and cinema. The project unfolds through nine short vignettes, Turn Red, Cut, Studio 6, Doona, Mamé and Barbara, Vatanen, Le Havre, D161, and Julie Anne, each exploring a single emotion or gesture through the lens of Lemaire’s elegance.

Shot entirely on 35 mm film, NINE FRAMES draws from slow-cinema traditions: long takes, analogue texture, and ambient rhythm, all instead of narrative urgency. The cast, including Doona Bae, Mame Binta Sané, Jussi Vatanen and Julie Anne Stanzak, bring a raw honesty to each scene, letting movement replace dialogue.

Beyond the film, the project extends into physical space through window installations and a printed book, inviting viewers to experience the collection in fragments rather than a single, linear story. It’s a campaign about observation,  about the kind of beauty that lingers when everything else is still.
