TENDER AND TOUGH JOIAH’S ‘ALCHEMIC AMAZON’

A kite is strong and fragile all at once, the perfect emblem for Joiah’s new EP, ‘Alchemic Amazon’ which harbours a complete sentimental ride. Joiah’s journey has had many twists and turns, guided by many winds. Born and raised in Padova, near Venice in Italy, she grew up in a multicultural household with a Colombian-American mother and an Italian father. Exposed to many art forms since childhood, she naturally developed a multidisciplinary path spanning music, sound, directing, and curation. At the same time, she was competing in equestrian show jumping, basically anything Joiah does, she gives her all. And perhaps the most tender nod to that era appears right on the EP cover itself, a young warrior riding forward alluding to Joiah.

This love for art, movement, sound, and simply learning is what eventually birthed ‘Alchemic Amazon' , a musical exploration of the feminine as both instinctive and conscious. The road to get there, a path of inner transformation and alchemy, is where Joiah’s ethereal voice guides us. Intertwined with electronic productions that shift between deep breaks and house music, the project celebrates the fluidity of life that she embodies.

Now based in New York, this project marks her official debut on the independent label BSR. The EP includes four original tracks, a remix by Paolo Mosca, and the instrumental versions of each piece, inviting us to be immersed fully in the melodies, experience every nuanced layer, or even find our own voice within the music. Drawing from the Amazon warrior archetype, the EP seeks to channel this spirit of fearlessness. Through all of life’s challenges one thing remains constant, passion, so it goes for ‘Alchemic Amazon'.
