Chappell Roan has scored her second UK No. 1 of 2025 with new single The Subway, released last week via Amusement/Island Records.

Following her March chart-topper Pink Pony Club, Roan is the only artist this year to land two singles at the top spot.
A soaring, heart-wrenching ballad co-written and produced by Daniel Nigro, The Subway has been a fan favourite since Roan debuted it live last summer. Its accompanying 35mm-shot video, directed by Amber Grace Johnson, serves as a high-camp love letter to New York and lost love.

Currently on a European festival run, including Lowlands, Reading & Leeds, and two sold-out Edinburgh nights, she’s proving she’s not just having a moment, she’s defining one. Chappell Roan building a world her fans wanna live in and are having the time of their lives!
