Shoe lovers beware: ASICS and ISSEY MIYAKE are uniting for a new summer collaboration HYPER TAPING. These two iconic Japanese brands are a perfect match, sharing strong values and a constant drive for innovation in fashion. Together, they are bringing hot new footwear to the market that will excite both loyal fans of the brands and shoe freaks who love staple, high-quality shoes to match their outfits.

This is a pair you can wear every day for a small fashion stroll around the city for a coffee, but also when you need to hit the gym. The Hyper Taping model draws inspiration from the already iconic ASICS design, “ASICS Stripes,” elevated by the creative minds of both brands into a bold new design.

The design is inspired by the structure of a gecko’s foot, and the thick elastic bands wrapped around the shoe make it look and feel fashionable while remaining extremely comfortable. You don’t have to worry about pain after walking for hours thanks to a new foot-shaped mold, a responsive FLYTEFOAM PROPEL insole, and a soft Ortholite® sock liner.

The shoes come in three colorways: fluorescent green, all-black, and all-grey, so everyone can find a pair that fits their personal style. The official launch of the collection is on January 22nd in selected stores.
