ROLEX AND THE SPIRIT OF THE SOLHEIM CUP
words by DEBORAH DRENOFCI
Europe beat the United States at this year's Solheim Cup, held for the first time in the Netherlands at Bernardus Golf. Over three days of foursomes, fourballs, and singles, the 20th edition of the tournament delivered exactly what fans have come to expect: tight matches, big pressure, and a team that pulled together when it mattered most.

It was also a first for team leadership. Anna Nordqvist, a Rolex Testimonee, captained Team Europe for the first time after nearly two decades as a player, nine straight appearances since 2009, four wins, and a hand in defending the trophy back in 2023. Taking on the role after so many years on the course, she brought a rare kind of insight to the sidelines, understanding exactly what her team needed in the moments that counted most.
Since 1994, Rolex has stood behind the Solheim Cup as Official Timekeeper and Worldwide Partner, a role that fits naturally with a sport built on precision and patience. It's a partnership Rolex holds across golf more broadly, one rooted in the same values the game itself demands, discipline, focus, and the ability to stay composed when everything is on the line. Precision, timing, and composure, this year's win had it all.
