ART PARIS RETURNS TO GRAND PALAIS
words by FRANCESCO PIZZUTI
Modern and contemporary art continuously shape how we see, experience, and move through the world as a beautiful vessel of inspiration and vitality. Whether you’re a devoted gallery-goer and art enthusiast or simply curious for novelty, you might want to continue reading. In fact, one of the leading art fairs, Art Paris, is getting ready to return to Grand Palais for its 28th edition with a remarkable curation of diverse galleries and visionary artists. Mark your calendars for April 9 to 12 to experience this international celebration of creativity.

One hundred and sixty galleries, over twenty countries, and a striking 30% newcomers. Names like Galerie Lelong, Nathalie Obadia, and Almine Rech anchor the event, while new voices arrive from Amsterdam, Barcelona, Sydney, and Cologne to quietly disrupt recognition and make discovery feel inevitable.
In the Promises sector, things move forward, toward futures not yet fully articulated. Half of the exhibitors are new, with women artists representing 55% of participants — a presence that matters. The art moves between two themes centered around language:

Babel – Art and Language in France, curated by Loïc Le Gall, and Reparation, curated by Alexia Fabre. Together, they explore language as a system of signs, with its instabilities, slips, and fractures, as well as reparation as a sustained practice of care, resistance, and continuity — like a conversation between rupture and repair.

Art Paris will also host the second edition of the French Design Art Edition. Design enters as an extension; interiors become installations, and objects carry narrative weight. Recognition circulates the space with Art Paris giving out three prizes, each one marking a moment of acknowledgment, of giving back and uplifting; something crucial in the art world.

Nothing feels swampy or static; Art Paris moves like a current, carrying legacy, experimentation, and creativity beyond the Grand Palais, into something alive and open.
