BORIS ACKET PRESENTS “EINDER” FOR 30 YEARS ADE
For the 30 year anniversary of ADE, Boris Acket, multidisciplinary artist confronting and distorting reality through his installations, will present EIDER - a monumental textile installation at De Centrale Markthal, accompanied by a performance by Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Elias Mazian, and Joep Beving.
Acket’s art installation changes continuously its shape with the help of powerful fans, shifting in response to sound, light, and live music, completely distorting reality. Visitors can become part of the artwork itself, interpreting the fabric that shifts like swirling sand or shifting storm, depending on each one’s perspective and personal experience. The exhibition will opens on ADE Friday with a new composition created especially for EINDER. At selected moments throughout the exhibition, EINDER will also be brought to life through a performance by choreographer Kiani del Valle, whose work includes Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show.
The Live Concert Series opens on ADE Wednesday with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam-West, where they will perform Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony exclusively curated for 30 YEARS ADE. Elias Mazian takes the stage with his live band on ADE Thursday, and Joep Beving performs his new album, the aptly named Liminal, on 29 October with EINDER as dynamic backdrop, as a perfect closing of the year ADE marks its 30th edition.
