EXCLUSIVE BEHIND THE SCENES OF KAROL G’S NINE-METER WIG IN ÚNICA’S MUSIC VIDEO

Tainy and Karol G’s new Única video comes with a beauty moment designed to break the internet. A custom-built, over nine-meter long wig engineered in less than a day by her longtime hairstylist Cesar DeLeón Ramírez, who turned an almost impossible task into a couture-level hair sculpture.

Working with three assistants over the course of 18 hours, Ramirez transformed two over-one-meter-long wigs into the base of the piece, colour-matching Karol G’s blonde with L’Oréal Professionnel formulas and adding blended braiding hair in four custom tones for the extreme length. “This might be one of the most ambitious beauty creations of my career,” he says. “The final result was more than nine meters of flowing, Rapunzel-like glamour — a true test of artistry, innovation, and creative fearlessness.”

Once the structure was built, Ramirez refined every inch with L’Oréal’s Air Light Pro tool, then sealed the look with Kérastase Gloss Absolu Anti-Frizz Glaze Milk and Gloss Drops for a liquid, high-shine finish.

Delivered just two hours before call time on the Madrid set, the wig is a standout piece of the music video itself, pushing Karol G’s glam into a new, maximalist territory.
