A ТРИП TO SICILIA WITH NINA KRAVIZ

Nina Kraviz and her acclaimed Трип label return to Sicily on 22 and 23 August following last year's momentous debut at Modica's historic Castello Dei Conti, expanding the intimate electronic music event into a full weekend for its second edition.

Трип has been flying the flag for weird and wonderful club music since 2014, known for concept albums where emerging talents and veteran producers stand side by side with no hierarchy between them. Staying true to this anti-hierarchical ethos, Трип To Sicilia features Nina Kraviz herself twice across the weekend, premiering her new live show as well as DJing, live performances by Terrence Dixon, Solar X and Praecox, a hybrid set by Vladimir Dubyshkin, and DJ sets from Cerrot, Deniro, Dog On Acid, Franzizca, João Lágrima De Ouro, Noël Saavedra, Skorri and U.R.Trax.

Once again in collaboration with local collective Vallinote, the weekend is designed to bring people together via an immersive cultural "trip", combining Трип’s cutting-edge signature electronic sound with respect for Sicily's historic and natural landscapes.

Each stage will highlight a different side of the Трип universe, from the label itself to its sub-labels Galaxiid and Treats, starting with the ‘Chiesa’ stage on Saturday: two sessions of live music inside the former church in the UNESCO-listed heart of Modica Alta, followed by a return to the Castello for open-air sets at the fortress, and finally the ‘Lido’ stage on Sunday, dancing into the evening by the sea. All stages are ticketed individually, so every guest builds their own Трип: the church, the castle, the sea, or all three, with the hours in between for exploring the delightfully charming Baroque town of Modica around them.
