FENDI FINDS A MILANESE HOME
words by VERONICA TLAPANCO SZABÓ
With the opening of Palazzo FENDI Milano, a distinctive boutique emerges at the storied intersection of Via Montenapoleone and Corso Matteotti perfectly timed to coincide with Milan Fashion Week and today’s much-anticipated show. Housed in a rationalist gem designed by Emilio Lancia in the 1930s, this enchanting space now blossoms into a FENDI haven. Inside its majestic 910 square meters, four elegant floors await, complete with a delicate in-house Atelier and three upper levels dedicated to Langosteria’s unique dining delights. The façade, graced with arches, squared windows, and a commanding tower, remains as timeless as ever, touched only by the FENDI logo.

The interiors are devoted to Milan’s 1930s charm, softly curved and beautifully marbled arches, echoing both its fur craftsmanship origins and Roman heritage. Adding to the wonder, partnerships with beloved local foundations and galleries: Fondazione Officine Saffi, Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro, Mazzoleni and Secci galleries sprinkled in custom artworks for an extra special decor elevating the boutique to a cultural stage. Stepping inside Palazzo FENDI Milano, visitors are greeted by a striking centrepiece: a destructured, organic-shaped column by artist Anton Alvarez. The enamelled ceramic sculpture reinterprets classical forms in a bright yellow nodding to FENDI codes, while delicate purples and greens soften the composition. The journey finally culminates in the FENDI Atelier and Apartment, where guests can witness the artistry of FENDI’s own artisans.
