LAAGAM COMES TO AMSTERDAM
editor MAREK BARTEK
LAAGAM has opened its first international store in Amsterdam, marking a new step in the Barcelona-born brand’s expansion. Located on Heiligeweg, the space places the label within one of the city’s busiest shopping areas, connecting Kalverstraat and Leidsestraat.

Founded in 2017 by Inés Arroyo, LAAGAM has grown from a digital-first project into a globally recognised brand, with its collections now reaching customers in over 50 countries. Amsterdam, where the brand already had a strong existing audience, is a natural choice for its first physical location outside Spain.
The opening was marked with a series of events bringing together local creatives, press, and members of the brand’s community, reflecting LAAGAM’s focus on building close connections with its audience.
Designed by Casa Antillón, the store translates the brand’s visual language into a physical environment. The interior is defined by geometric structures, tilted planes, and illuminated walls, creating a sense of depth and motion throughout the space. The design also subtly references Amsterdam’s architecture, with its characteristic leaning buildings echoed in the store’s layout
For LAAGAM, retail functions as an extension of its digital presence. The store acts as a point of contact between the brand and its community, offering a space where its identity can be experienced beyond the screen. The Amsterdam opening forms part of a wider international strategy, with further locations planned in Mexico, Colombia, and Canada — and we can’t wait to see where LAAGAM’s heading next.
