BOTTEGA VENETA INTRODUCES THE WINTER 2026 COLLECTION THROUGH EIGHT LENSES

words by TIANA DE HASETH

Creative director Louise Trotter, introduces her second collection for Bottega Veneta through eight photographers, that each brings a unique creative lens to the Zine002 collection campaign.

Photographers, Chris Rhodes, Cristina Stohle, James Ari King, Kira Bunse, Nicole Maria Winkler, Piotr Niepsuj, Rosie Harriet Ellis and Sam Penn, all gather to capture the same campaign in an eight day period. The series takes inspiration from John Rusking’s idea of how beauty changes, and takes different shapes, depending on the distance you stand at when looking at something.

Trotter brings these eight photographers together to convey this idea and showcase the garments from both up close and far away. Some portraits focus on the details, such as prints, textures, materials, and the overall design, while some showcase the styling, and silhouettes in front of backgrounds that make the garments stand out, leaving both scales expressing the beauty of the designs. The series shows a paradoxical idea of the documentation and process, of what happens on the runway and behind the scenes.

By changing positions, each of the photographers use their distinct lens for visual expression, to capture the collection’s softness and structure, as Ruskin believed that true art does not hide its details far away, nor does it lose its strong shape up close.

Bottega Veneta comes into the 2026 Winter season, perfectly balancing the vision of each of the eight photographers to present the Winter 2026 collection.
