CALVIN KLEIN CELEBRATES PRIDE WITH A LIMITED-EDITION LAUNCH
In honour of Pride month, Calvin Klein has launched new limited-edition styles that add a unique spin to their classic underwear and apparel models. The launch is accompanied with a creator-led campaign featuring artist Deon Hinton, choreographer Sam Salter, and model and athlete Jordan Rand. Representing different facets of their community, each of them give an authentic expression of Pride in their own way.
Adding dashes of bold colours to their usually monochromatic undergarments, Calvin Klein is reinterpreting their signature look, taking inspiration from queerness and its many iterations across history. The classic cotton underwear gets a vibrant ombré logo band, styled in a very Calvin Klein way through relaxed T-shirts and baggy jeans — or just the underwear. Their classic logo tees also get a rebrand, replacing dull neturals with vibrant gradients.
The campaign captures each creator's personal interpretation of Pride, while highlighting their unique crafts.
Hinton's campaign is centred on the self-shot aspect, highlighting his place as a multidisciplinary creative whose passion extends itself to the realm of photography. Sam Salter, a creator known for his choreography, expresses himself through vibrant movement-heavy shots, while professional racer, Jordan Rand is pictured alongside her motorcycle, racing through the streets of New York City. Together, they each are able to express their own Pride in a way that feels true to who they are and what they are passionate about.
