MAGLIANO AND VEJA SCORE WITH THE NEW PANENKA SNEAKER

Magliano, the Bologna-based label led by Luca Magliano, teams up with Veja once again, the brand known for its ethical and sustainable approach to making sneakers. The result is a new take on the Panenka, a sneaker inspired by football.

This time, it's all about texture. Some pairs shine in soft nappa leather, others come in deep red suede, all finished with metallic grey stitching. The leather continues inside the shoe as well, so it feels as good as it looks.

The nostalgia is still there. Like the first edition, the design nods to old-school football, with a long tongue folded over the top of the shoe, just like the ones players wore in the 1980s. Each pair also comes with extra colourful laces, a small dose of Magliano's playful attitude. On the outer side, a golden Magliano logo sits opposite Veja's own.

Sporty, a little retro, and quietly elegant. A sneaker for anyone who prefers their football on the street rather than on the pitch.
