MARC JACOBS AND DR. MARTENS REIMAGINE THE ICONIC KIKI BOOT

As a longtime admirer of Marc Jacobs, and a long-term wearer of Dr. Martens, the news that the two brands have united to create an exclusive reinterpretation of the Kiki boot is revelatory. The collaboration seamlessly blends the brands’ unique aesthetics whilst celebrating the shared creative spirit and commitment to individuality that define them.

First unveiled on the Fall 2016 runway, Marc Jacobs’ Kiki Boot quickly became a signature icon—defined by its towering silhouette, bold buckles, and unapologetic edge. Beloved by stars across the spheres of fashion, music, and film, the Kiki has been donned at both the Met Gala and onstage by the likes of Paris Hilton, Beyoncé, and Olivia Rodrigo. It’s dramatic, camp, and undeniably iconic.
For this updated version, the Kiki is refitted with Dr. Martens’ signature Corran-heeled sole, giving the style new industrial strength and assertive presence. The result? A bold silhouette that fuses Marc Jacobs’ boundary-pushing design with the utilitarian grit of Dr. Martens—rooted in a mutual dedication to creativity and attitude.

This collaboration offers three iterations of the Kiki: Dr. Martens’ signature Buttero leather in Black and Bright Lavender—a smooth, supple leather that offers a timeless, grounded look with a vivid pop of colour—and a Black Croc-Embossed Analine, a glossy textured leather that heightens the boot’s already subversive attitude. The exaggerated Corran sole adds a dose of gothic drama, welted in either signature yellow or monochromatic black stitching and finished with laddered silver buckles. Other finishing details—inner zips, and custom lock-and-key charms—a subtle nod to past Marc Jacobs x Dr. Martens’ collaborations, including the 60th anniversary of the 1460 Boot and the 10th anniversary of the Jadon.
