VIVIENNE WESTWOOD CELEBRATES 25 YEARS OF NANA WITH SPECIAL CAPSULE

editor MAREK BARTEK

Vivienne Westwood marks the 25th anniversary of NANA with a capsule that feels like a full-circle moment. Ai Yazawa’s cult manga, long intertwined with Westwood’s punk romanticism, becomes the catalyst for a collection that brings its illustrated icons into real life.

The capsule reimagines Westwood archive pieces as worn by Nana Komatsu and Nana Osaki throughout the series. Their contrasting worlds are all here: Komatsu’s soft pastels, pearls and florals set against Osaki’s tartan, corsetry and leather. Accessories, too, echo the manga’s visual language, featuring heart-shaped purses, pearl-and-safety-pin detailing, and revived Rocking Horse Ballerinas. Jewellery drawn directly from Yazawa’s illustrations completes the drop, alongside a limited-edition Giant Orb Lighter. A collector’s edition of NANA with a new Ai Yazawa cover launches alongside the capsule, available in select stores and Westwood boutiques globally.
