MAXIMALIST DAYDREAMS WITH CHANEL’S FW 25/26
words by VERONICA TLAPANCO SZABÓ
CHANEL’s Ready-to-Wear collection is here to make our hearts flutter, with the enchanting Lulu Tenney captured through Anthony Seklaoui’s lens, a trompe-l’œil reverie in tweed. House signifiers like bows, ribbons, pearls, tweed, and the signature two-tone are at the forefront of this collection. They are interrogated and amplified, with audacious plays on scale and proportion. A diaphanous black tulle blouse and skirt float atop an ecru tailoring ensemble, while a cobalt velvet suit conjures a denim effect, blending opulence with sly subversion.

Accents bloom with a maximalist charm while bows unfurl across collars and cuffs, heels are realized in monolithic pearls. The pièce de résistance? A cross-body bag that transforms into an oversized pearl necklace. Leather wallets metamorphose into a clutch moment, while rhinestone-embellished bijoux inject a fantastical verve into the silhouettes. It’s a collection that isn’t afraid to flirt with whimsy, and where couture codes are reinterpreted as fanciful symbols. Prepare to indulge as FW 25/26 lands in CHANEL boutiques next week
