MCQUEEN PRESENTS ITS 2025 HOLIDAY EDIT
editor MAREK BARTEK
At Eltham Palace, McQueen reimagines the idea of celebration. The 2025 Holiday Edit, directed by Seán McGirr, captures the in-between moment, where formality loosens, and everything starts to move.
Shot by Sammy Khoury, the campaign unfolds like a dream sequence: deep burgundy velvet and cobweb lace, tuxedos undone at the collar, satin dresses catching the last of the light. Opulent crystal-studded clutches and metallic heels trace the rhythm of movement through the palace halls.
McGirr’s vision feels grounded in contradictions of precision and impulsivity, romance with an edge. Tailoring collides with asymmetric tartan, crystal embroidery and anatomical lace. Accessories echo the mood: the metallic Skull Flower bag, the jewelled Knuckle Clutch, the sculptural Manta reworked with shattered-chandelier charms. Each piece feels made for movement rather than display.
There’s a sense of play to it all, the confidence of a house that knows elegance doesn’t have to stay still. McQueen’s holiday story is about energy, texture, and the thrill of getting dressed when night is just beginning.
