PRADA FINE JEWELLERY LAUNCHES COULEUR VIVANTE

editor MAREK BARTEK

Prada expands its fine jewellery universe with Couleur Vivante, a collection defined by bold use of colour and unexpected combinations of gemstones. Designed by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, the pieces explore harmony and contrast, with stones chosen not only for their rarity but for their chromatic intensity.

Amethyst, aquamarine, madeira citrine, pink morganite and oro-verde peridot appear in striking juxtapositions, set into solitaire rings, drop earrings, rivière necklaces and line bracelets. Classic forms are given a twist through asymmetry and proportion, with gems delicately set so they seem to float around the wearer. It’s a collection that pushes against convention while retaining an air of timeless elegance.

The campaign, shot by David Sims and directed by Ferdinando Verderi, features Amanda Gorman, Maya Hawke and Kim Tae-Ri. Captured first in monochrome, their portraits are then layered with translucent veils of colour. Against this dreamlike backdrop, the pieces reveal their vivid hues, underlining the collection’s focus on vibrancy and individuality.

Prada also brings innovation to the idea of fine jewellery ownership. Every piece in Couleur Vivante is recorded on the Aura Consortium blockchain, allowing buyers to trace the gemstone’s journey from raw form to finished jewel. Each comes with certification from an independent gemmological laboratory, underscoring the Maison’s commitment to authenticity and transparency.
