PUMA AND ROMBAUT COME TOGETHER FOR SEASON 2 SNEAKER COLLABORATION

editor MAREK BARTEK

PUMA and ROMBAUT are back for their final act, and they definitely didn’t disappoint. After the sell-out frenzy of their first collaboration and the now-cult “Levitation” sole, Season 2 arrives, reenforced by Mats Rombaut’s recent win as Belgium’s Accessory Designer of the Year.

The trio of new styles revisits the PUMA Speedcat through Rombaut’s retro-futurist lens: aerodynamic curves, technical silver mesh, man-made leather, and signature biomorphic cell bubbles that feel organic and sci-fi at the same time. The White pair keeps things minimal — a gum sole against soft suede, crisp and texture-focused, while the Black version goes darker, with the distressed brown tooling bringing a sense of depth.

Season 2’s campaign leans into the dream state. Youth, weightlessness, and the exploration of freedom through the phenomenon of levitation. A refusal to be brought down and a reminder that, especially in today’s world, feeling unburdened, even for a moment, is a luxury.

And true to both brands’ ethics, that lightness extends beyond aesthetics. Imperfect pairs were donated to La Fabrique Nomade, supporting refugee and migrant artisans in rebuilding their craft. It truly is a collaboration rooted not in design, but shared values.

Season 2 is available now at rombaut.com and select global retailers.
