THIS FALL BURBERRY TAPS INTO THE CHARM OF THE ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE

We all know those grand British mansions scattered across the countryside. Driving through the south of England, it’s almost impossible not to catch sight of one of these dazzling estates. They live vividly in our imaginations through books and films like Pride and Prejudice or modern classics such as The Gentlemen. There’s a unique, undeniable charm about them, a world we all long to be part of, even though we only glimpse it from afar.

Burberry taps into this quintessential Britishness: raincoats, quilted jackets, chunky scarves, knitwear, thick cashmere, corduroy, and of course, tweed. The collection evokes equestrian-inspired fashion and a palette of deep browns, mustard yellows, and dark greens, everything that defines classic British style.

According to Daniel Lee, Creative Director:

“We wanted to bring the collection to life and to tell the story behind all those incredible textiles.”

Indeed, the collection, called “A Grand Escape”, is a celebration of craftsmanship and the centuries-old practices perfected by local artisans across the island, traditions that have been refined over generations to create these timeless designs.
