The new Van Cleef & Arples collection reinterprets a creation born back in 1934: recalling the outline of a belt, the Ludo bracelet stands out for its flexible mesh, accented by a buckle-shaped clasp set with precious and ornamental stones. The abstract style characteristic of the 1930s thus meets the world of couture, a theme dear to the Maison. The Ludo bracelet has seen numerous variations while remaining true to its original aesthetic.

Today, the Maison enriches this collection with five new designs. Combining various gems and colours of gold, these creations showcase the briquette and hexagonal motifs on mesh. The surface of the gold is punctuated by precious or ornamental stones and a graphic interplay of lines. Thanks to the meticulous work of the High Jewelry workshops, the gold is supple and scattered with light.

Pairing three colors of gold with a precious stone, the variations evoke the world of couture with elegant simplicity. The bracelets are distinguished by their briquette mesh, which lends the gold ribbon a fine articulation. Their buckle- shaped clasp and chevron tip reinforce the impression of flowing fabric. Thanks to an ingenious hidden mechanism, the Ludo bracelet can be adjusted into three sizes to ensure a comfortable fit.

Rendering the fluidity of fabric in gold presents a fascinating technical challenge for the workshops. To create a finely woven texture, the briquette and hexagonal motifs are carefully assembled and adjusted one by one for optimal articulation. This meticulous process ensures a flexible and comfortable fit.
