‘WE ARE STILL HERE’ EDITORIAL BY LISSELI SANTOS AND ENRIQUE LEYVA

For this cover of our new NATURE issue, LISSELI SANTOS and ENRIQUE LEYVA transport us to Peru to tell a story of ‘We Are Still Here.’ Model FAHD SALÉS is photographed in both local Peruvian brands and an ensemble made from the pods of pacay — a fruit tree native to the Andean region. Like the pacay, FAHD stands as a reminder that Indigenous communities, their traditions, art and knowledge are an integral part of modern Peruvian society, and that they have been and forever will be indisputably connected to the land of their ancestors.
