Heading international, Zadig&Voltaire is expanding from its usual Parisian runway across the globe with its Beijing debut. Presenting its Autumn-Winter 2026/2027 collection, the show was held as part of China’s International Fashion Week, hinting at the brand’s interest in an international expansion under the newly appointed Creative Director, Dan Sablon.

In a respectful nod to Chinese imperial heritage, the show took place in the historic setting of Prince Jun’s Mansion on March 25th. Modernity and historic aristocracy contrasted each other beautifully, creating a dialogue between Parisian and Chinese aesthetics. The pieces themselves reflect the signature Zadig&Voltaire rockstar energy, with an emphasis on assertive femininity, structured silhouettes and high-contrast details. You can definitely feel a reinterpretation coming from Sablon’s direction, but nevertheless, the clothing reads as effortlessly Zadig&Voltaire.
Casting choices also reflect a hankering for international appeal, with iconic East Asian actresses adorning the catwalk. Among numerous influential figures in China were Korean actress and model Lee Sung-Kyung and Chinese actress Wang Ou.
Through this runway expansion, it's clear that Zadig&Voltaire intends to move into the Chinese market, but why now? Well, China has increasingly become known as one of the fastest-growing luxury markets in the world, with consumers also increasingly interested in Western fashion brands. That’s where Zadig&Voltaire comes in with Parisian flair, rebellious spirit, and authentically European style, all rolled into one—bringing its heritage and edge to create a definite establishment in China’s luxury scene.
