IN CONVERSATION WITH JADE LILY

interview by JANA LETONJA

Beauty and fashion content creator Jade Lily, known as JadesWildParty, is known for her bold, trendsetting style and effortlessly cool aesthetic. With a keen eye for beauty, fashion, and self-expression, Jade curates dynamic content that blends high-glam makeup looks, edgy outfit inspirations, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into her ever-evolving personal style. Her ability to mix nostalgia with modern trends has positioned her as a rising tastemaker, inspiring her audience to embrace creativity and confidence in their own style.

Your makeup looks are always bold, fun, and unapologetically expressive. What’s your creative process when planning a look?

I actually feel like my makeup looks aren't bold at all, maybe that's why they feel bold? All my inspiration comes from wanting to feel naturally beautiful in makeup rather than not myself and weighed down

Do you remember the first time beauty felt empowering to you?

I can't pinpoint an exact time but my mom owns a hair salon so I've grown up around beauty and sharing tips and tricks. I guess it's always been empowering.

You’re constantly experimenting with new trends. What’s a beauty look you’re currently obsessed with?

I'm currently obsessed with blondzer looks and feeling sunkissed.

Your style feels like the perfect mix of nostalgia and modern rebellion. Where do you draw your fashion inspiration from?

I get a lot of inspo from Pinterest, but not outfit photos on Pinterest, more so the vibe of home decor, places, cool things I pin that evoke a feeling that inspires me for my style. Style truly is all encompassing, not just an outfit. My favorite looks are usually very simple with a funky shoe.

How has your relationship with fashion evolved over the years? Has your aesthetic always been this fearless?

I've evolved so much in fashion. I used to jump on every trend even if it didn't feel like me, resulting in a closet of cheap clothes I only wore once. Now I have a very simple wardrobe but with cool and funky touches.

Your community really connects with your confidence and individuality. What’s one message you hope your content consistently delivers?

I hope I inspire girls to think out of the box just a little in their everyday lives. Nothing is original anymore and I’m not saying we need to reinvent the wheel all the time, but I'm so bored looking at content that is just copy and paste from so many creators. I also hope my followers just walk away feeling like I’m their sister. I've never had siblings and love the idea of sharing with them.

Social media can be both creative and chaotic. How do you stay grounded and authentic online?

Honestly, it's taken time to just feel comfortable being myself and practicing it every day is the thing that is going to help people stay consistent and authentic. Outside of that, I have a very healthy relationship with social media and my phone. I can put my phone down, not look at it for hours, I don’t doom scroll in bed. I am grounded in my life, and friends and family give me so many experiences everyday.

You’ve become a tastemaker for Gen Z and beyond. What does being a “style icon” mean to you in 2025?

Honestly, a true style icon to me means you have an overall vibe that shows the essence of you and is just so original to you. Again, this does not have to be reinventing the wheel. My biggest style icon inspirations just have the coolest taste down to hair, beauty, clothes, home decor. I guess originality is a style icon.

Do you see yourself expanding beyond content creation into design, editorial, or beauty lines in the future?

I do. I will always create content and share with my audience no matter how my life develops. I would love to create something in the beauty space eventually. I also have found such a love for wedding design and all the creativity that comes with that. I love designing wedding jewelry, sourcing pieces for bridal looks, styling bridal shoots, and designing the actual wedding day. I’ve obviously had such a fun time doing it for my own wedding, but I have completely come up with designs for friends and family who are getting married so maybe something will develop in that category.

When not being a fashion and content creator, who is Jade Lily outside of the public eye?

Well, she's pretty similar to the creator that shows up everyday to share hair, beauty, lifestyle and wedding content. These are genuinely things I love, so outside the public eye, I am still yapping away about it all. I’m always on Pinterest looking at inspiration, I don't post much about how active I am, but I’m always outside, going to pilates, passionate about cooking at home for friends and family. I’m always reading. I just love my people so much, so we do weekly dinners to see each other.
