There are certain moments in life that can define a career. Supermodel and actress ANOK YAI knows this well from her experiences on the runway. She doesn’t just walk shows — she moves through them like a force. And this is exactly what happened in MUGLER’s Alien Extraintense fragrance campaign, where Anok stepped into yet another powerful role. In our conversation, she opens up about embodying strength, womanhood and chasing dreams — both real and imagined.

Let’s start off strong. In Mugler’s fragrance campaign Alien Extraintense, you didn’t just wear the perfume — you embodied it. How did you tap into that energy?

I’m a naturally strong woman, probably because I inherited this quality from my dad early on in my life. Mugler itself keeps on celebrating strong women, so it felt almost spontaneous. It was not hard for me to take on this new character.

Mugler has always blurred the lines between fantasy and reality. Since our fall/winter 2025 issue is all about fantasy, what’s your current fantasy, either creatively or personally?

I would love to track down people present in my dreams in real life.

The Alien Extraintense fragrance features floral notes like jasmine and tuberose, both known for their deep, sensual qualities. What does sensuality mean to you, and how do you channel that essence in your life?

For me, it’s something deeply personal and internal. I channel it in my everyday life through consistent self-care. A thoughtful beauty routine plays a big part — it helps me feel grounded and connected to myself.
