A NIGHT AT THE STEDELIJK MUSEUM: CELEBRATING NUMÉRO AMSTERDAM

Dear Reader,

We are still processing our latest launch party and the whirlwind of emotions it brought. We are so proud, touched, and glad to have welcomed our lovely community, collaborators, and friends at the Stedelijk Museum — to have shared with you our latest work and celebrated the 750th anniversary of the city that gave us a home in so many ways.

We take pride in our launch parties, and we are always careful to choose a location that captures the spirit of our newest issue. And what better space than the Stedelijk Museum? A place that is dedicated to art and culture at its very core. For a night, the museum closed its doors just for us, and let us in her rooms. A special exhibition of Pamela Rosenkranz welcomed our guests — in what we believe was a vision of futuristic beauty.

In the grand auditorium, as we all gathered, projections of our city lit up the walls — so Amsterdam could join us too, and really be present. Melting on the wall there they were - our love letters to the city: heartfelt poems, personal stories, funny anecdotes. Everything that made us fall for the city. And there’s no denying it — we are head over heels.

As guests wandered through our latest issue, they were the first to get their hands on ‘Angel Dust’, our upcoming fragrance in collaboration with Fugazzi. In three words: sexy, peppery and slightly smoky. Of course, each guest had the opportunity to take a sample home — watch out, it will be out very soon.

Naturally, we had the Numéro Netherlands statement moments of the night: our classic photowall, an abundance of Cartier champagne, and obviously stylish outfits we couldn’t miss — all respecting meticulously the black-tie theme. Our DJ sets elevated the night, starting with Joiah, followed by our cover star MARRØN. And as the cherry on top — we had to wish a happy birthday to Amsterdam in great style with a massive birthday cake, provided by Café Dirty. A lemon curd cake with vanilla base and rosemary buttercream loved by everyone and a truly honourable tribute to our city.

The night felt like the iconic scene from the 1964 film “Bande à part” — running through a museum freely, with childlike excitement. Standing there, we wondered: what is Amsterdam really? It’s the people. It’s the hundreds of years of stories that have accumulated here and still linger in the air, never quite leaving. And now, a new story has been added.

We all dream of making a mark, of leaving something behind — an impact, even if small or seemingly insignificant. But we want to know it’s there. We are proud of our work, and this issue — a heartfelt tribute to the city — feels like part of that dream.

The night felt like a love letter in itself — to the city, and to our community.

Once again, thank you, dear readers. And thank you, dear Amsterdam.

With love,
Numéro Netherlands xx
